An appropriate physical environment, without distraction, is important for learning. Unfortunately, most students of rural India do not have this privilege at home. Belonging to economically challenged families, their living conditions are poor, and little ones have added responsibilities of doing their share of the family work. For example, girls are majorly involved in household chores, whereas boys are expected to work like their fathers to get some money in the house. Because of this, they end up losing interest in their studies. They can not focus on learning for more than an hour. Luckily, some get enrolled in government schools but still lack interest in learning because they are not at age-appropriate learning levels and have the mentality that they must ultimately do what their parents are doing.
